Berkeley Squares Bite: Thangam Debbonaire MP

Browse By

I am proud to introduce a new series, the Berkeley Squares Bite.

In this instalment I talk with Thangam Debbonaire, Labour MP for Bristol West, on her time in office since claiming the seat in May 2015 from the Liberal Democrats, who had achieved a majority of 11,000 in the previous election.

We delve into issues important to a diverse range of people within the Bristol area with transport, housing and the monarchy all being discussed in depth.

Thangam exclusively reveals her stance on the election of Donald Trump in America, as well as suggesting the House of Lords be replaced with a system more similar to the US Senate. Debbonaire highlights her hard work to make sure the people of Bristol continue to be heard and represented after a majority of Bristolians voted to remain in the EU.

Stay tuned for the next episode of the Berkeley Squares Bite — make sure you’re subscribed to be the first to hear when it arrives!
